‘Stained’ Original Painting

Description

This original painting is an 18×24 acrylic and ink on canvas painting.  To me, it is reminiscent of stained glass windows.  Perhaps this crystalline, colorful landscape exists within the inner world of our consciousness.  Stained glass was traditionally used in buildings and meant to initiate a mystical experience through its beauty and the way it captured the light.  But do we need to seek outside for what exists naturally within?  This painting involved a different, new process for me.  It took me about a month to create over a number of painting sessions.  I am always experimenting with new styles and processes.  Enjoy!
